چکیده
Radiomics uses advanced image analysis to extract massive amounts of quantitative information from digital images, which is not otherwise distinguishable the human eye. The mined data can be used explore and establish new undiscovered correlations between these imaging features clinical end points. Cardiac computed tomography (CT) a first-line modality for evaluating coronary artery disease has primary role in assessment cardiac structures. Conventional interpretation CT images relies mostly on subjective qualitative analysis, as well basic geometric quantification. To date, some proof-of-concept studies have demonstrated feasibility diagnostic performance radiomics analysis. This review describes current literature discusses its advantages, challenges, future directions. Although much evidences are needed this field, lot offer patients physicians with potential define phenotypes higher precision.

Applications and limitations of radiomics.
Radiomics is an emerging field in quantitative imaging that uses advanced imaging features to objectively and quantitatively describe tumour phenotypes. Radiomic features have recently drawn considerable interest due to its potential predictive power for treatment outcomes and cancer genetics, which may have important applications in personalized medicine. In this technical review, we describe ...
متن کاملDiscovery Radiomics for Computed Tomography Cancer Detection
Lung cancer is the leading cause for cancer related deaths. As such, there is an urgent need for a streamlined process that can allow radiologists to provide diagnosis with greater efficiency and accuracy. A powerful tool to do this is radiomics: a high-dimension imaging feature set. In this study, we take the idea of radiomics one step further by introducing the concept of discovery radiomics ...
متن کاملRadiomics: the process and the challenges.
"Radiomics" refers to the extraction and analysis of large amounts of advanced quantitative imaging features with high throughput from medical images obtained with computed tomography, positron emission tomography or magnetic resonance imaging. Importantly, these data are designed to be extracted from standard-of-care images, leading to a very large potential subject pool. Radiomics data are in...
